This hands-on, outdoor class is designed for absolute beginners who want to dive into the world of fiber arts—starting right at the source: a raw sheep fleece. You'll learn how to recognize different fleece types, skirt and wash a fleece, and explore the tools used in wool preparation, spinning, and felting. We'll cover everything from scouring and dyeing to trying your hand at wet felting and spinning with a drop spindle. It’s a full-day introduction to the wool journey, perfect for anyone curious about turning raw fleece into beautiful, usable fiber.
