Baby season can be exciting—and stressful. This lambing and kidding clinic at Southern Sheep Company is designed to give shepherds the confidence and practical skills needed to handle common lambing situations and emergencies.

This class will focus on real-world, hands-on instruction, covering what you actually need to know before, during, and immediately after lambing.

Topics we’ll cover:

• Neonate emergency care & preparation
• Recognizing and treating hypothermia and chilled lambs
• Tubing lambs (when and how)
• Medications and basic lambing supplies
• Emergency care immediately after birth
• Stripping teats and ensuring lambs are nursing
• Tail banding and castration
• Hands-on work with lambs
